Yes, there’s a real woman behind all this purple.
I’m a beauty therapist, mum of two and the woman behind Kay’s Sanctuary in Heeley, Sheffield.
Outside this room, I’m doing school runs, sorting the kids and trying to remember what I walked upstairs for. So when you tell me you’ve had a week, you don’t need to explain every detail. I understand how much can sit behind those words.
I’ve worked in beauty since 2011, starting in a spa. Becoming a mum gave me a different understanding of how easily your own needs slip to the bottom of the list. There’s always something else to do first. And apparently, the food shop is supposed to count as time to yourself.
I wanted to create somewhere you could turn up exactly as you are. Have a chat, have a laugh, or enjoy being quiet while I look after you.
You don’t have to arrive feeling polished or apologise for being tired.
That’s what I want you to feel when you come here: comfortable with me, comfortable being yourself, and glad you made some time for you.
